I want to talk bluntly about a subject that many forex traders are going mad about: Forex Trading Robots. It doesn't matter which forex chat room or forum you belong to, it is probably all you hear about.

Obviously, there are a whole lot of people who think that this is like the holy grail. I can see why they would think that. I mean, you are talking about something that trades for you automatically without you having to so much as look at your computer screen. Who wouldn't want to make money like that? But the problem is, there aren't many traders making money doing this. Sadly, it just doesn't work.

It has to do with the fact that the markets just cannot be programmed. Every new day the market opens, it brings something new to the table. It quite frankly needs a human being to interpret its actions. It just can't be left on autopilot.

For example, think about all the news that comes out in a day which can affect the price of a currency pair. Do you truthfully believe that a forex trading robot is going to have the capacity to understand and profit from the news that just came out? I highly doubt it.
