You can't argue with the money in the hand of the consumer! When you think about it, it's pretty powerful when a consumer tells you what they want to buy and you have it on hand. This is the word-of-mouth advertising that publishers dream of. With one mention and recommendation, Oprah has repeatedly created overnight sensational bestsellers. On the internet, we call it "going viral."
The real-life example above of how a bookstore researches, acquires and stores book content information, compared to how search engines catalog and render website information, is a simplistic explanation. But it is key to understanding how internet marketers use every word tool available to dominate search engine results.
Internet marketers begin with the result in sight and start with putting themselves in the mind of their consumers. First and foremost is knowing that nothing moves or happens on the internet without words. Everything begins and ends, with words. Internet marketers discovered the power of words years ago, and it is with words that they are able to dominate Page One.  The choice, use, and placement of words is part of every internet marketer's overall winning strategy.
